The Chicago Bulls visited President Obama at the White House yesterday, and now word is that Obama might show up at the Verizon Center tonight for their game against the Wizards. The rumors are no doubt the greatest thing that will happen to Wizards tickets sales this season; the last place team has had trouble even filling the arena to half-full for the last couple months. Click here to purchase tickets to tonight's game, which starts at 7 p.m. This would be the first Wizards game Obama will have attended since taking office.

the wizards can't get people to watch because they have a terrible logo. maybe!
So tired of people trashing the Wizards. OK, they're a bad basketball team. But there aren't many true fans in this city, for any team, it seems. Watch Caps "fans" disappear next year if they don't make it out of the first round this year. And I don't even want to get into the Redskins. ... Real fans suffer with their team, as cheesy and unironic (sorry!) and that sounds.
Apparently the city can vote for an underdog for president, but can't support one on the basketball court. Pretty sad. Then again, I wonder if Obama went to Bulls games when THEY sucked. I'm guessing not. It's all about seeing and being seen, and getting to the parking lot early if you're team's getting swamped.
Well, if he goes tonight, then he'll be seeing a mediocre Bulls team.
maybe they'd actually have a chance of winning if Obama suited up to play.

I wonder if this has anything to do with the fact that the Bulls lost two team legends yesterday, Norm Van Lier and Johnny 'Red' Kerr.
At least there will be one noteworthy athlete at the game.
