>> Three Stars alums Jeff Antoniuk and the Jazz Update will be performing on Friday at Jazz Night in Southwest. 6 to 9 p.m. $5

>> Tin Pan Alley composer Cole Porter is responsible for standards like "What is this Thing Called Love?" and "I've Got You Under My Skin". On Friday, the Kennedy Center will be hosting a tribute to the great songwriter. The 7:30 p.m. set will feature pianist/vocalist Patricia Barber and Ann Hampton Callaway will perform at 9:30 p.m. Tickets are sold out, but it's worth contacting the box office for last minute cancellations.

>> Vocalist Lena Seikaly is starting to make a name for herself on the local scene. She'll be performing on Friday at Twins Jazz along with a quarted that includes saxophonist Bobby Muncy and bassist Tom Baldwin. Tickets to the 9 and 11 p.m. sets are $15.

>> Vocalist Heidi Martin has long been a fixture on the local scene. She will be performing 8 and 10:30 p.m. sets on Friday and Saturday at Bohemian Caverns. Tickets are $20, but the club is offering a $70 package for Valentine's Day that includes a three course meal.

>> So of course with Saturday being Valentine's Day, there's a slew of related events going on around town. Twins Jazz will be hosting a show featuring another up-and-coming vocalist, Andrea Wood. Tickets to the 9 and 11 p.m. sets are $20.

>> College Park groove band The Superland Stage Band will be at the Bossa Bistro & Lounge on Sunday at 9 p.m. No cover

>> Drummer Dave McDonald, whose day gig is with the Air Force Big Band, Airmen of Note, will be leading his own group on Monday at the Bossa Bistro & Lounge. 9:30 p.m. No cover

>> Organist Ondřej Pivic, a native of the Czech Republic now based in New York, will bring his blend of classic jazz and European sounds to Blues Alley on Tuesday. Tickets to the 8 and 10 p.m. sets are $20 + $12.50 minimum/surcharge.
