  • FOX5 reports that Jim Graham (D-Ward 1) has intervened to put off DDOT's enforcement of sidewalk sign laws. DCist first reported on this issue, which has local business owners upset, earlier this month.
  • The White House today was expected to name David H. Stevens, president of D.C.'s Long & Foster, to run the Federal Housing Administration. So far, it doesn't appear to have actually happened.
  • Picking through the budget stories! Mayor Fenty is proposing combining the D.C. Sports and Entertainment Commission with the Washington Convention Center Authority, reports WashTimes.
  • Even more budget sifting! City Desk finds that Fenty would like us to pay for streetlamp maintenance via a $51 annual fee levied in our Pepco bills.
  • The Newseum made a second round of layoffs today.
  • The principal of Coolidge High School has resigned ahead of the school's takeover by a New York-based private management firm, reports D.C. Wire.
