>> Project Natale, led by the fraternal rhythm section of Joe and Lou Natale, plays Twins Jazz this Friday and Saturday. The band also includes monster pianist Bob Butta. Tickets to the 9 and 11 p.m. sets are $15.
>> Saxophone legend Gato Barbieri's career has spanned five decades. The Grammy winning Latin jazz icon will set up shop at Blues Alley this weekend, with 8 and 10 p.m. sets Friday thru Sunday. Tickets are $38 + $12.50 minimum/surcharge.
>> Upon arriving in this country, pianist Benito Gonzalez cut his teeth in the District before heading up to New York to play with the finest in jazz. He returns to D.C. pretty regularly, and your next chance to catch him will be on Saturday at HR-57. 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. $12
