Modest Mouse
Check out this ad on Craigslist right now, posted in the tickets section for Friday night's Modest Mouse show at the 9:30 Club:
My tickets are free to the first person who helps me find a new job.

That's right--free. No joke, I swear.

I'm ready for a career change. I'm a published writer currently working in news. I am open to new and interesting possibilities, thus the job does not have to be journalism-related.

If you have any ideas/tips/contact information that directly help in landing me a new full-time career, the tickets are yours.

We're not sure we can wrap our heads around what this means in terms of the Great Recession. Have Modest Mouse tickets become worth roughly the same as a year's salary and a potentially fulfilling worklife? Or is it just so desperate out there in the media job market that people are willing to try anything to find a job?
