Heck, even the spiders weren't staying at home this weekend -- as proven by lifeinthedistrict's portrait from rural Middleburg, VA. With weather so beautiful, who can really blame them? (Although, if I were this spider, I'd budget some time this upcoming weekend to rebuild a web -- this week's upcoming showers should make quick work of this one.)

no_more_caffine: I'm not a fan of this shot (looking over the DCist pool, I'm at a loss at how this one stood out), but the policy on DCist photo contributions allow for day trips out of DC sorts-of-places, and Middleburg sure counts as that.
