It's not just you. It's all of us, too. Gmail, Google Reader, the entire Google family of products seems to be out across the region. Friends in other cities say they're not having the same problem, so who knows what's up. In the meantime, while you're waiting for the ability to do practically anything else on the Internet, consider leaving say, one or two or twelve comments on DCist! UPDATE 12:15 p.m.: We have Gmail! We have Gmail! International crisis averted.

Nothing wrong with Google services on the College Park campus network! If you get really desperate, we have campus-wide wifi... You'll have to convince some poor student to give you their login credentials though.
Gmail, Reader, and maps are working in DC and Arlington for me.
All of twitter is a flutter with this. I'm going through absolute Google withdrawal. Don't they know if I'm not in constant communication with the world, I might hurt someone?

my google works fine. and i live and work in dc. i think perhaps this is a ISP issue.

I was in new orleans awhile back and google wasn't working for me. It turned out to be a network security error with the ISP not an end of the world is near, google is out type of deal.
Are most of you guys on Comcast? TMobile? Who's your internet service provider that you are on and are experiencing problems with Google?
I've been having problems all week with it. Kept getting bounced out and returned to a blank page. Almost like here when I submit a meaningful comment. It goes around and around, until I hit the start-over thingamajig button.

Google is down at Work computer, on verizon broadband on laptop, and iphone (att). it's down, the world is going to end.
I'm fine over in SE-- I guess even Google bugs fail to realize that DC has other quadrants besides NW.
gmail working at NGS, but not the gchat function.
Gmail and Google Reader are working fine for me now, but YouTube was broken about an hour ago.
Youtube is actually a google service, which explains why...
I think this is an issue faced by people whose workplaces who have Cogent as their ISP. We are experiencing the slowdown here on K St and they are our ISP.
