And, Another Cracked Rail, This Time at Medical Center

From Metro: "A second cracked rail was discovered at 1:50 p.m., outside the Medical Center Metrorail station on the Red Line in the direction of Glenmont. While Metro crews make repairs, Red Line trains will share one track between the Grosvenor-Strathmore and Friendship Heights Metrorail station. Riders may experience delays up to 30 minutes. Shuttle bus service will be established between the Grosvenor-Strathmore and Friendship Heights Metrorail stations." Given that the Red Line is already sharing the same track between Fort Totten and Takoma on the other arm of the line, looks like no joy this evening once again for Red Line commuters.

How much longer until it is okay to say "Enough with the metro coverage?"

You only have to hit "Submit" once, you know.

Who'd have thought DC would be experiencing a crack epidemic?

So do they just fix things with gum, rubber bands and duct tape? At the rate things are falling apart for Metro, it is possible.

They can't be using duct tape, because duct tape works.

The more coverage Metro and its never-ending problems get, the more likely it will be that the people in charge start moving to actually remedy them.

Well, if anybody gets killed, at least you've go the Medical Center right there. Pretty convenient.

I think that Medical Center is only for research, so if you went in hurt they'd probably put your head on a baboon's ass, or create a baboon with four asses, or something like that.

This pig has only one ass. It is of no use to me!

All in all you're just another crack in the rail.

There has to be a Marion Barry joke here somewhere.

I was thinking more along the lines of Barry rushed to the accident scene when he heard there was "crack in the rail."

Ahhhhh, I see. So you're a drug addict and I'm just an insurance scammer. Nice to meet you!
