We heard from several readers that the film crew for the James L. Brooks-helmed Owen Wilson/Reese Witherspoon/Paul Rudd flick were camped along 7th Street NW in Penn Quarter today, and word from DDOT is that they'll be in Adams Morgan tomorrow. Several road closures will be in effect in the post-rush hour morning due to the filming. From the release!
Due to production activities tomorrow, Thursday, June 18, in the Adams Morgan neighborhood, Adams Mill Road, NW between Calvert Street and Columbia Road will be closed between 9:30am and 1:30pm. Also, there will be intermittent traffic control (temporary short closures) of Columbia Road at Adams Mill Road and 18th Street during filming.Detour Information: All vehicles will have access to and from Calvert Street and Columbia Road at 18th Street and the Adams Morgan area via Cliffborne Place and Biltmore Street. These two streets both feed and connect Calvert Street and Columbia Road at18th Street. Metro and Circulator buses will be rerouted. The Metropolitan Police Department will be on-site to assist with traffic detours.

They will be filming on the patio of Adam's Mill Bar & Grill.
They sure screwed up traffic Wednesday evening moving all those trailers and lighting trucks up 18th Street to Calvert and onto the Duke Ellington Bridge.
Well fucking joy to the world. I had better take a different route tomorrow.
They've taken over the triangle at Columbia, Champlain and Euclid. For a sec, I thought that the latin market started a day earlier and expanded. It's a zoo up in here.
I got a notice that the production trucks are going to be parked along 15th, R, and Johnson this Saturday and Sunday, so perhaps some filming along 14th St?

oh my gosh, pleeeeease keep posting filming updates! I am such a movie buff and would love to see filming in action. I'm at work until 4 and nowhere near Adams Morgan, but hoping that it'll be convenient soon.

TK - I'm at 14th and R, too, and we got a notice on our door a few months ago that the production crew was looking for a penthouse condo with rooftop access for filming. I don't think the penthouse owners in our place were interested, but it looks like it will be one of the larger condo buildings closer to 14th Street.
This morning, there are many production trucks and trailers on 14th and 15th between Q and S NW, mostly on 15th. The permit on one of the trucks stated that filming was to occur on 15th between I and K.
There was also a lot of activity in front of this building at Johnson and R (between 14th and 15th). This may be the property referenced above.
