Green Line Delays Due to Cracked Rail at West Hyattsville

Metro's terrible week just got a little bit worse. Crews discovered a cracked rail at 1 p.m. near the West Hyattsville station, which is causing Green Line delays while trains share the same track between Fort Totten and Prince George’s Plaza. Metro says it hopes to complete repairs to the rail by this afternoon, but it's best to plan on there being delays through rush hour.

Just got this via email from METRO Alerts:

(ID 55857) Disruption at Medical Center. Trains are sharing the same track between Friendship Heights & Grosvenor due to a report of a cracked rail outside Medical Center station. Expect delays in both directions. Shuttle bus service has been requested between Grosvenor and Medical Center

They just replaced all of that rail at Medical Center! It took over six month's worth of weekends! ARRRRRRGH!

Sorry, I think I just cracked a rail in my head.

So Metro isn't everything it is cracked up to be?
