Hey F**KTACO, Turn Here!

That's the message some commuters on the Key Bridge may have gotten this morning, as somebody changed a couple of electronic road signs to say naughty things -- namely "F**KTACO/MUDKIPZ!/BALLSACK," although without the asterisks. Needless to say, the Virginia Department of Transporation was not amused, reports WTOP.

VDOT turned off the sign, although they said the Park Police owned it. Another sign at GW Parkway and the Chain Bridge had a similar message and was also turned off.

And if you're wondering, MUDKIPZ comes from an Internet meme about Pokemon (NSFW).

Of course, this sort of road sign mischief has happened before. Our sister site Austinist reported on a pretty funny one about zombies in their city earlier this year.

The other point I want to make is that Fucktaco, Va., is a delightful place to visit. Why is the DOT discouraging it?

Ironically, Fucktaco, VA has no mexican restaurants.

Mudkipz, MD is pretty much what you'd expect though.

I wholeheartedly agree. Fucktaco (pronounced Fuh-k-TAH-coh), Virginia, makes for a fantastic family getaway, with less homicidal employee rage than The Homestead.

I'm not sure about the Ballsack neighborhood in the District, though. It has lost its hipster edge and is now so thoroughly gentrified as to be on virtually the same level of douchebag-edness as Georgetown.

I don't understand why someone would monkey with these signs, when there are perfectly useless/confusing signs on the Parkways that constantly read, "LOCK YOUR VEHICLE / LEAVE NOTHING OF VALUE" that are practically begging to be hacked.

officially my favorite article title of the year :)

Oh nice! Does anyone have an unedited picture of this?! :-D

Mr. Wiseman, you may want to consider a NSFW tag for your Encyclopedia Dramatica link.

That sounds like something they would serve at Taqueria Puncherios de Junco. (no, I don't speak Spanish)

Never mind, I see now that it was already linked to.
