The Washington Mystics open their regular season in Connecticut today against The Sun, and play their home opener at the Verizon Center on Sunday at 4 p.m. against the Atlanta Dream.
Sunday's matchup will feature this year's top two draft picks -- the Dream's Angel McCoughtry and the Mystics' Marissa Coleman. Both players find themselves neck-and-neck in preseason Rookie of the Year predictions -- but if Coleman is looking for motivation, the league's general managers believe that McCoughtry will be the better player in five years. This weekend should provide a first glimpse as to what both rookies will bring to the table.
