When we first heard that HBO had canceled Screen on the Green, we typed through our tears in order to bring you a guide to all the other outdoor summer movie options. Since then, Screen on the Green has been miraculously revived, but our commitment to cataloging every free outdoor film in the metro area continues unabated.
With that, behold! Stead Park, the favorite Dupont area rec center in the 1600 block of P Street, has at last posted its summer movie schedule. Only three films are on the agenda this summer, each showing on the last Wednesday of every month. So we've got:
- Wednesday, June 24: Top Gun
- Wednesday, July 29: Indiana Jones & the Last Crusade
- Wednesday, August 26: Meet the Parents
Not exactly the most stellar line-up, but there you have it.
