Heads up, local George Washington University alumni: D.C. Council Chair Vincent Gray now represents you in more ways than one. The university's Alumni Association announced that they have selected Chairman Gray to receive one of the University’s Distinguished Alumni Achievement Awards. According to Gray's office, he won't receive the award until an October 1, 2009 ceremony during GWU’s Alumni Weekend.
"I am truly awed and proud that my alma mater considers my work worthy of honor and recognition,” Gray said in a statement. “I am humbled that I am in the company of 2009 and previous winners who are great men and women whose contributions in various professions and arenas are unmatched and celebrated at George Washington and beyond.”
Gray earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in psychology from GWU in 1964. Previous recipients of this award include former U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell and Abe Pollin, owner of the Washington Wizards.

And Now, 10-20 Inches

Exactly what great things has Vince Gray achieved for which he should be awarded?
Find me another vampire that can walk around during the daylight.
Game and match.
Also, this is the DC Government here. I think going this long without a single felony arrest for tax avoison, DUI conviction, oil-soaked Middle Eastern pervert escapade, or Rashomon-style dead-hooker-from-the-burning-dumpster haunting counts as "an accomplishment."
Like Jim Graham, he's kept the same bad taste in ties and eyewear since 1982.
ok, this isn't anything to do with mr. gray or gwu, but i had to put it somewhere.
the "night moves" ads from american apparel say "8 stores in DC"
really?
so, DC has annexed MoCo, Baltimore, and various parts of NoVa?
news to me...
Are the heroin chic waifs available in their stores.
Sorry. I just can't see this one. It's just my opinion.
