WJLA reports that a 'bug bomb' -- those aerosol cans of pesticides that you set off in the middle of a room to battle bad insect infestations -- caused a small explosion in an apartment in a four-story building at 1907 Good Hope Road SE this morning. Yikes! One minor injury was reported. The state of New York actually recently banned such insect foggers due to health and safety issues associated with the products.

For a place called "Good Hope Road" it sure does have a lot of nasty things happening on it. Which is exactly why I moved to Nuts Nailed to a Plank Boulevard. Five years and I haven't had my nuts nailed to a plank yet! Nothing but drywall, particle board, and gypsum. So far. (Fingers crossed.)
...but the bugs are all OK, I hope?
You people who are blaming these folks for losing their bugs should be ashamed of yourselves. I hope that when the distillery in your basement explodes, or the meth lab in YOUR garage detonates, I'll be there to point the finger at YOU and say, "All those bugs are dead because of YOUR IRRESPONSIBLE BEHAVIOR IN ALL CAPS."
Besides, what are all those cockroaches supposed to do with the disco ball and the lasers? They already put a deposit down on them at the party store. And DJ Drum-N-Bass doesn't give refunds. This is the worst bat mitzvah ever! I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU! (slams door, cranks up Lil Wayne, cries into pillow).
That looks like more than a single bug bomb to me. A good reason to stay on top of building maintenance, so your tenants don't try to take matters in to their own hands.
It looks like the explosion killed the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
That's a tough way to go. RIP.
*pours out jar of tomato sauce*
That's exactly what happens when you have a big ol' bug up your ass.
You mean you don't light the top of the can when placing it on the floor?
Yeah, try waking up to that alarm. I live across the hall from the unit, documented it, and alerted WJLA.
