Most of us have a love-hate relationship with Metro. On the one hand, it's clean, visually stunning, and a good way to cut down on our carbon foot print. On the other hand, there's the waiting, the delays, and the crowded trains. Flickr user Matt.Dunn's portrait of two riders on the Red Line perfectly captures the boredom and bleary-eyed ride that's a part of many of our weekend evening commutes. No EXIF today on account of film.

This couple looks like they attended a midnight showing of the new Harry Potter film and returned without a love potion.
She: "That's it. I am dumping this guy. 10 SMS messages and they ALL say 'DTMFA.' I'm tired of your excuses, Mr. Engaged-to-be-Engaged. I'm tired of your sloppy attempts at intimacy. I'm tired of your goddamned clothes everywhere. You need someone else to be your mother. And most of all, I'm tired of your goddamned flatulence! WTF? Grow the hell up! This isn't gradeschool anymore. That's it. I'm out. McPherson Square and you are history."
He: "I don't think I can hold this fart in any longer."
I think I see a Missed Connection in the making...
She: 'OMG! He's just, like, so, like...yknow? It's like I can't even..like...be...like...uh...y'know?"
He: "I'd still hit that..."
Uh-oh, there's a new AA ad...and it's kinda making me feel funny IN THE PANTS!
I like the guy in the background going in for the pick.
That guy is the dirty ass hippy lead singer of Phish. Trey Something-or-other.
What's film??
Film is made by crushing a Sopophorous Bean with a silver knife so as to release more its juice and mixing the juice with three finely diced fanzine porn images of Hermione Granger getting it on with Luna Lovegood. At least that's how you make 8mm double-perforation film.
Matt, your portraits are absolutely beautiful.
The Zelig in the back is none other than Graeme King, also seen here and here.
Sorry, links got broken on my previous post. Graeme can be seen at http://www.flickr.com/photos/yospyn/3627644202/ and http://www.flickr.com/photos/graemeking/
Matty, this is one of your best!
Doesn't anyone read on metro anymore?
