The Washington Post is reporting that approximately 85 pounds of marijuana and nearly $40,000 in cash have been seized from D.C. resident Winston Williams, 49. Williams was arrested on Aug. 5 after D.C. police discovered about 10 pounds of pot and the cash inside his home in 5500 block of 14th Street NW. A couple days later, they found 75 more pounds of the green stuff in storage units prosecutors say belong to Williams, in the 6400 block of 16th Street.
Williams, who has lived in D.C. for over 20 years, is facing charges of unlawfully possessing marijuana with the intent to distribute, as well as tax evasion.

Intent to distribute? Nahhhh. I think 160 pounds of marijuana could have been casually smoked by him. And the $40K in cash could have been from a waiter gig at a local restaurant. They shouldn't jump to conclusions.
This makes me very sad :(
Police were led to Mr. William's home by a strange smell that one officer described as, "totally familiar". Further investigations into the MPD are taking place to see if THIS is in fact why police are discouraging victims from reporting crimes. "It's too much paper work, man," the officer stated.
I know what you're thinking, but it's O'Dweeds man!
The link takes you to a WaPo story about 4 teens arrested in display of racist phrases at school. Not a story about the awful removal of sweet MJ from her appointed rounds.
Link should be fixed now
So that's where the bag on the sidewalk came from.
A Friend with Weed is a Friend Indeed.
Gee 85 pounds of marijuana. Using my government issued "War on Drugs" calculator that is equal to $4,750,000 (street value).
Nobody pays retails anymore - why should you?

prepare for a rash of murders... major distributor busts are always followed by a rash of murders as new players claim turf vacated by the previous distributor.
plus it will be harder to get weed until the new players are established.
reality is, people want their weed, and nobody wants more murders in their community... all busting distributors does is result in more murders and (maybe) temporary kink in the supply chain until a new order is established.
I've got two words for you: legalize it!!!!!
So THAT'S why my guy hasn't been calling me back. :o) Just kidding, he called. Must be someone else's.
