Does all this talk about new injections of talent into the Nationals organization have you yearning to take in a game at the stadium? Well, you're in luck -- to celebrate the signing of Stephen Strasburg, the Nats will be offering tickets (while supplies last, of course) for Friday's game against the Brewers at the low, low price of a buck. Fans can get $1 tickets -- located in Sections 108, 110, 135 through 137, 103 through 107, 201 through 205, and 223 through 235, so actually half-decent seats -- through this page at the Nationals website. The cheap tickets go on sale starting at noon today, so get clicking. The Nationals will also be introducing their new star pitcher in a press conference on the field at 2 p.m. on Friday -- fans with tickets to the game will be allowed in early to watch Strasburg pose for photos in his new jersey, and participate in a half-hour Q&A session. Since the presser is a solid five hours before game time, though, you might want to just catch it on television.

And Now, 10-20 Inches

Alright, just got an RF Corner ticket in 136L for $1 (looks like a $30 ticket). Not bad at all.
Some of those 100 level options go for $36 on regular game days. What a great deal!
Guessing the Nats front office want the place packed for Strasburg (if he stays) and more coverage from MLB Network/ESPN that evening. Whatever the motives, great idea.
No doubt Strasburg will throw out the first pitch, be a guest in the TV and radio booths, etc.
I'm in 136U - see ya there!
I'm happy to help the Nats look good on TV, if it only costs me $5.
I'll be there in sweet freebies from a vendor. 20th free set this summer. As long as the demand for tix is low the reps give 'em away like halloween razor blades...er, candy.
HOLLA! Just ordered two sets of tickets. GREAT seats! And there will be fireworks!
Yay, two tickets. I imagine this is going to be a packed game.
Yup. That's the point.
i just bought 300 tickets and plan to scalp them for $2 each. i hate being so smart.
Ah, too bad they are limiting sales to 2 at a time. That must have taken awhile.
site is kicking people off due to so many people logging on
getting "no more tickets" message now
The Nats say they're releasing 1,000 more $1 tickets at noon on Friday...
Scored 2 tix in the Left field box, Section 107. $30 tickets cost me 4 bucks -- Strassy, you're alright by my book.
Now we just need to have a dollar beer night...
Dollar beer night? Hells no. This town needs to revive the ten cent beer night. We'll show those jerks in Cleveland what a real riot looks like. Also, I nominate the ghost of Bill Veeck for Nats GM.
