HHS Building Evacuated After Small Explosion

The Health and Human Services building at 200 Independence Ave. SW was evacuated shortly after 10 a.m. this morning after a small electrical explosion occurred in the building. No injuries and no fire resulted from the explosion, which happened in a penthouse electrical room and affected a transformer connected to the building's A/C system, according to D.C. Fire/EMS spokesperson Pete Piringer. The building was reportedly evacuated as a precaution due to the possibility of a secondary explosion.

"Dear Penthouse Forum, I never thought this would happen to me in a million years, but the goddamned transfomer blew my penthouse up. I totally evacuated myself. That's when Pete Piringer showed up barechested in a fireman's outfit to reassure everything was going to be okay. He gave me a big hug, then I notices his washboard abs, his chiseled good looks, and the pronounced bulge in his trousers. 'So,' I asked, gazing deeply into his blue eyes, 'do these goddamned transformers blow up all the time?' He smiled and handed me a glass of Blue Nun. 'Sure do. My, it's hot in here and these pants are chafing. Mind if I slip out of them...?"

GEEZE!!! Same thing happened to me just last week!!! What a coincidence!

Jimbo Jones??? Was all hot and bothered till that last part.

The memo I got said they did not evacuate the building since it was just a small explosion.

Nice email to say - you may have felt an explosion, but don't worry about it...
