Awww, the Prince George's County Sheriff's department lost one of its dogs. Zoey, a working dog with the department, managed to wiggle out of her collar and ran off about a week ago, according to the Post. Ironically, the dog was trained to find and rescue people. Zoey is 5 1/2 years old, weighs 80 to 85 pounds, and is a black and tan bloodhound. She was last seen near St. Paul's Drive and Piney Church Road in Waldorf.

A joke about Zoey being tied up in front of Whole Foods would be too easy.
Since it's Waldorf and a police dog, a joke about Zoey being tied up outside a WAWA or Dunkin Donuts would be more appropriate.
Not as easy as a comment about such a joke that doesn't actually make one, though.

Sense the P.G. County police department likes going around shooting people's dogs so much, maybe Zoey was taken out in a revenge killing?

First place they should look is at that crazy old lady's house.
According to PETA, Zoey has certainly been sold for meth and is now part of a dog fighting kennel. Proceeds from her fights go straight to Al-Quaeda.
Wait, I thought PETA supported al-Quaeda? I'm confused.
I had a snarky comment about the irony of a Search and Rescue dog being lost... then I realized it was PG County... and it all seemed to be a moot point.
I knew a Sheriff's department dog once - "Biscuit the Bomb Dog". His specialty was sniffing out bombs, but he also excelled at snoring and farting. And wasn't the fleetest of foot. Hopefully Zoey is similar, and couldn't have gone far...
Hey, if I could sniff out bombs, I'd totally qualified for that job.
I think the best way to find her would be if the cops sent a squad to go out on all fours and sniff around for her. Either that or check all the backseats of the cruisers.
what? no picture of the pooch?
how can i be expected to get riled up about lost puppies if there are no photos of said dogs?
I hope they find the dog and that s/he is returned safely.
Having said that, maybe this is just a case of karma biting you on the ass.
CHUDOGS!
Poor Zoey!!! Waldorf is no place for a dog. Unless she's got a red collar around her neck.
SHe is fount!
For all of you that wanted a happy ending: WaPo is reporting that Zoey has been found!
