With last weekend's weather finally resembling a real D.C. summer, the DCist Flickr pool reflected the desire to to keep cool with plenty of lovely fountain shots. Flickr contributor erin m has framed her romantic take on the subject beautifully, even helping the young woman pull her partially-discarded color theme back together. (Shot on Kodak Ektar 100 film.)

Shoes off, but no feet. Fetish tease!
Hipsters?
That's me in the corner letting off some water after the Waterfront Chug-a-lug contest drinking my Orange Crush.
WTF is up with all the white people washing their stinky feet in public fountains? Just yesterday I saw a bunch of Mormons headed to Malcolm X Park in terrycloth robes with Dial soap-on-a-rope. I recognized they were Mormon by their "magic" underwear. However, they could easily have been Baptists diguised as Mormons for fetish purposes.
I have a Mormon fetish. Then again, it could be the whole 'shoving something down my throat' thing. It's a toss-up.
Does my ass look big in these pants?
Not big enough.
He's big enough for me ...
You know who's big enough? The guy on the right just outside the frame who's peeing in the fountain. You'd figure that couple would notice something like that.
That's me! That's me! Weeeeeeeee!
is someone at DCist dating erin m? she's a great photographer, don't get me wrong, but you all are in love with her.
... and your point is? :)
We love great photography and erin_m does great photography. Many other photographers are also represented on this blog.
agree VERY strongly with fatkidspecial. erin m's work is on here every other day. mix it up with a new flickr user, dcist!
@Fatkid and Cornchips: Which DCist are you two reading? Erin_m hasn't had a photo up in some time. I went through the past six pages of posts (a week), and this is the only one she has. You want to back up these statements with links?
It's a good photo, enjoy it and stop being rude.
woah, brosef(s). did i say anything negative about Erin? I really enjoy her work and follow her work not only on dcist but on flickr. (I encourage you all to do the same).
But, if you read dcist too much, like myself, you find her work appearing all the time, sometimes twice a day. kind of like their obsession with kristeya (also an excellent photog) a couple years ago. so, i was simply joking about her dating someone at dcist which apparently triggered some defense mechanism in Over_The_Hill and SpeakSoftlyCarryALittleDick.
You're just jealous that she doesn't date fat kids.
busted...
[popping in to provide some brief perspective]
According to Technorati's handy tracking feature, I've been on DCist seven times in the last seven months. I'm pleased as punch that you like my stuff and that you follow me on flickr, but maybe you just notice more often when a familiar name shows up on DCist as opposed to the dozens of other photographers who also toss their stuff in the DCist pool.
[going away now]
agreed. nothing against erin m. i have no issue with the quality of her work. but as someone who reads this site daily, you do start to notice when the same names keep popping up. the flickr pool has a lot of contributors; i'm just lookin for a little variety. there's lots of talented photographers in this town.
Right on, Chipster! Can't we get a little more photogenic on DCist???
