Car Free Day Set for Sept. 22
Tuesday, Sept. 22 will mark this year's Car Free Day, and organizers in the D.C. Metro area are hoping to exceed the number of pledges they get from last year's total number of participants, which came in at 5,445.
All you have to do head to this page and fill out the electronic pledge form, which commits you to eliminating or reducing your driving on Sept. 22. A number of special events will mark the occasion, including a Car Free Day street fair celebration at 7th & F Streets NW, much like last year's.
