Car Pushed Into Anacostia River By Train

the picture of that capitol police officer is HI-LAR-I-OUS
Yeah no kidding. That photo is great. We've all known a dude who looks exactly like that. Probably deals pot. Listens to Soundgarden. Drives a beat up '88 Chevy Cavalier.
Of course he ended up as a Capitol Police Officer. And of course he ended up passed out in a stranger's bed.
"D.C. police officer doesn't care to ticket for public urination."
Thats because they only have one pen.
or, it's just because MPD doesn't really believe in things like the broken windows theory, or that tacit approval of minor crimes leads to expectations (by those committing them) that they can get away with more and more.
"But John B. Porterfield, who sits on the board of the Dominion of Cab Drivers, said the drivers 'can shut this town down.'"
Sweet board seat, John B. Porterfield. So all the GW fratters will have to stumble ALL THE WAY DOWN 18TH STREET TO SOUTH OF U STREET, where there will be countless enterprising taxi drivers happily waiting for their business while also getting credit for participating in this ludicrous protest effort.
Nice power trip, John B. Porterfield.
Public urination and deadbeat cops are part of the charm that is D.C.
Reid, you nailed that archetype!!
Please for the love of god bring on a taxi strike. I don't care how long the strike lasts [the longer the better] or what they're striking for since I really couldn't care less, but every minute that an additional cab is off the streets is one minute the streets are safer for pedestrian, cyclists and other drivers.
If Fenty had any balls he'd authorize all VA and MD cabs to operate in DC for an entire month for every hour of a DC cab strike.
oooh, that's an interesting thought!
