Considering Walters' reputed largesse, the three-bedroom home really does seem rather modest. Is it possible she thought that maintaining this regular old house would assist in her cover story, even while she toted Louis Vuitton bags to the office?

Who the F would ever want to live all the way up there, anyway? Why wouldn't you just move a few blocks to the northwest into Maryland? That part of D.C. is the suburbs without any of the few good things about living in the suburbs.
