Saturday Remembrance Photo: September 12, 2009

Plenty of our photography contributors took time yesterday to visit memorials and think about the events of eight years and one day ago, including this long exposure taken by kimberlyfaye of half-mast flags circling the Washington Monument as night approaches. Others spent time at Arlington and the Pentagon Memorial -- each photograph, a simple and poignant document of the quiet ways with which we remember.
