So how exactly do things work over at Shanghaiist? Clearly some of the stories are of the type that wouldn't sit with well the censors of the People's Republic (example). Nor do many of the comments necessarily stick within the Party line. Is it a blog based in the U.S., written by American expats in Shanghai? Is the same content that I see accessible to people in China?
