CLASSICAL: Pianist and composer Samuel Vriezen will play a free recital tonight at Catholic University's Ward Hall. The program includes music by Tom Johnson, Chopin, and Vriezen himself. 7:30 p.m.

THEATER: The National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington Shakespeare Company, and George Washington University kick off their second annual Sort-of-Jane Austen Reading Series, a festival of staged readings highlighting plays and poetry by historic and contemporary women of the late-17th and early-18th centuries. Tonight, take in a pay-what-you-can performance of Aphra Behn's The Rover (1677), which follows the antics of a group of cavaliers who pursue their desires at a carnival in Naples. If you wish to get your ticket in advance rather than at the door, call 1-800-494-8497. The Rover is from 7- 9 p.m. for $10 at The National Museum of Women in the Arts.

MUSIC: One of this month's Three Stars bands, Last Tide, celebrate their CD release tonight at the Black Cat's backstage. They're opening for Austin's Ringo Deathstarr along with State Department. 9 p.m., $10.

GAMES: Nellie's Sports Bar hosts a Texas Hold 'Em Poker Tournament every Monday night starting at 8 p.m. First place wins $30 off your tab.

JAZZ: At Blue Monday Blues, bassist and D.C. native Whop Frazier will lead his band from 6 to 9 p.m. $5.
