CLASSICAL: Pianist and composer Samuel Vriezen will play a free recital tonight at Catholic University's Ward Hall. The program includes music by Tom Johnson, Chopin, and Vriezen himself. 7:30 p.m.

THEATER: The National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington Shakespeare Company, and George Washington University kick off their second annual Sort-of-Jane Austen Reading Series, a festival of staged readings highlighting plays and poetry by historic and contemporary women of the late-17th and early-18th centuries. Tonight, take in a pay-what-you-can performance of Aphra Behn's The Rover (1677), which follows the antics of a group of cavaliers who pursue their desires at a carnival in Naples. MUSIC: One of this month's Three Stars bands, Last Tide, celebrate their CD release tonight at the Black Cat's backstage. They're opening for Austin's Ringo Deathstarr along with State Department. 9 p.m., $10.
