Another Weekend, Another Round of Road Closures

It should be interesting trying to get around town tomorrow, as the combination of the Army Ten-Miler roads closures and Metro track work should cause some delays.

Each street that is part of the race course (the green and yellow lines to your right -- click here for a larger PDF version; a text list of streets is after the jump) will close intermittently between 8 and 11 a.m, also causing rolling delays on neighboring streets. Want to avoid the mess by taking Metro? Do heed: track maintenance will cause some delays on the Red and Orange Lines tomorrow, so plan for 20-30 minutes of additional travel time. Also, all Metrobuses which originate and terminate at the Pentagon will be rerouted to Pentagon City until 2 p.m.. Metro will be opening at 6 a.m. tomorrow morning; but if that's useful to anyone not running in the race, you have our sympathies for having to be up so early on a Sunday.

The complete list of roads which will be affected by the race:

  • East on Constitution Avenue, NW
  • North on 19th Street, NW
