Multiple Shootings In Northwest

WUSA9 is reporting that a police officer shot and killed a man at approximately 10:30 this morning on the 800 block of Upshur Street NW in Petworth. After authorities responded to a report of a person tampering with a vehicle, the suspect fled the scene. A scuffle ensued and shots were then fired. You can count on plenty of police investigating the area today.

Additionally, Prince of Petworth points us to two shootings which occurred last night. The first, a fatal shooting of a man on the 1200 block of Crittendon Street NW; the second, two individuals who had been shot on the 2200 block of 2nd Street NW in Bloomingdale. Police are asking that anyone with information regarding the 2nd Street incident to call them at 727-9099.
