Both President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle have been known to stop by local D.C. schools to visit with area students over the last year, but today was the first day the President visited a school in Maryland, according to the Post. Obama made a surprise to the lunchroom at Viers Mill Elementary School in Silver Spring today. He reportedly spent about 30 to 45 minutes chatting with 3rd and 5th graders at the school about what books they were reading.

Ban the hoodies now! Not only do they lead our precious children down a crooked path toward a life of crime, this sinister article of clothing also makes the little lambs more susceptible to the siren song of Arab-born socialist world leaders! Just look at that picture. I'm sure that the hoodie-wearing youth we see is slack-jawed mesmerized by the big foreign man's anti-capitalist rhetoric, even as he plots to knock over little Jimmy's lemonade stand this weekend.
Apparently Obama won't be happy unless everyone in the DC metro area meets him.

Everybody needs to lighten up. Touchy-feely photo ops with kids is standard practice when a POTUS is losing traction in Congress or needs something to distract from an unpopular war or whenever the economy's in the crapper. Anybody remember "Mission Accomplished" followed by a push to get people interested in Mars exploration? How about the cruise missile strikes during the middle of the Lewinsky fiasco? Personally, I can't wait for him to appear behind a podium with a banner behind him that says, "Mars, bitches!"
I hope they write and sing a song about his visit.

Wow, I sure am glad he ended the war(s), fixed the economy, and solved the healthcare crisis before doing yet another photo-op in a school.
yeah, you're right. he should be like john mccain, and quit what he's doing to focus on one thing, instead of demonstrating the ability to chew gum and walk at the same time.
