The comments on that United Airlines story make one embarrassed to be a human being. Good thing I'm a muppet...

The story is nothing but classy all the way around. FOX5 points out it's an exclusive interview ... like, everyone else realizes it's big joke, not a story. Even better that it's a Best Buy exec. I hope the writers from Chuck see the story and work it into a show.

P.S., This is perfect light fare for a Go Home Already blog post at the end of a long day. Thanks, Sommer!

A Best Buy executive experienced poor customer service? Oh, the irony.

I'm reminded of the Onion headline, "Best Buy Employee Suggestion Box Brimming with Urine."

Best nugget from the last story was at the very end:

Koop declined to say who hand-delivered the envelope, saying it was “too complicated.”

If that's not a euphemism for "I'm banging an intern in Reid's office and she did me a favor," I don't know what is.

i know this probably belongs on gothamist, but i'm drunk on baseball right now.

That United story is disturbing, I've seen people in sweats fly first class for years. Were they afraid he was going to shed them and have a marathon up and down the aisle?

Arlington's traffic lights are screwed up this morning too, like it's not hard enough to get though that slum with the roads torn up 365 days a year.

The airlines make huge stacks of money by branding "First Class" tickets as an escape from the discomfort and indignity of rubbing elbows with the unwashed masses.

And then an ostensible member of the unwashed masses tries to walk into First Class.

The results are predictable.

It's the very concept of First Class that is disgusting, not this particular event.
