If you looked at this photo and thought, "What in the world?" or, "Is this even from this world?" you are not alone. This long exposure from discipula277 is of the DDP Drill Team, an avant garde dance performance group. The DDP is, according to their web site, short for "Dieter's Dance Party," a name borrowed from the Saturday Night Live Sprockets skit made famous by Mike Myers. And yes, it does appear that the dancers are carrying a Star Wars-themed light saber/drill team stick. The dancers are clearly fantastical, in their makeup, uniforms, and choreographed dance moves, and the photo captures their essence perfectly. I think this sci-fi military image is exactly the feel the DDP was trying to achieve.

Yes, I too watched some of SyFy's airings of the original "V" and "V: The Final Battle" this weekend. It would appear from this photo that time has not been kind to Jane Badler...oh, that's not what this pic is? My bad, yo.

what you have said here is not very nice! We work very hard at what we do! I know that you are trying be funny with your comment, but your comment comes across as being really superficial and heartless! If you would have seen our show live, I think that you would comment differently!
My apologies. The look of the photo really calls to mind the color schemes of the uniforms of the visitors in the original miniseries V, and the woman in the picture does resemble Jane Badler (though I'm sure the long exposure isn't doing her justice). Contrary to the wording of my comment, I've actually heard very cool things about your show, so if I came across as callous, then I apologize, and sincerely meant no offense. It was just clearly a poor attempt at humor.
Also...my level of knowledge of a very bad sci-fi miniseries from the early 80s causes myself a bit of introspection. How the hell did I ever get a girlfriend?? Again, mea culpa.
hey, It is okay DJ Jesus...but I am the Captain and I must take up for the girls that I perform with. You are right, the longer exposure does not do her justice. Plus, the girl in the photo had spooky make up on, so that affected the look as well! The girls in the photo are actually really beautiful, in real life :)
