Rockville Police Officer Shocks, Shoots Jesus

Following several hours spent trying to subdue him -- an effort that including zapping him with a Taser multiple times -- Rockville police were forced to shoot Jesus, a 120-pound Rottweiler/Pit bull mix. Police were summoned after the dog reportedly snapped, attacking his owner, who suffered injuries consistent with a berserk attack from a massive, wrathful dog. Fortunately, the dog did not attack the four police offers who were at one point in the house working to bring down the animal -- or the three children present in the home. The MPD's use of Tasers has sparked controversy in the past, but in a situation where it was most justified, the Taser didn't serve any use. (The Taser also couldn't stop Jim Spellman.)

wrathful? lets explore why this dog was wrathful? is one born with anger? or is it cultivated?

Maybe the owner attempted to poison and destroy the dog's brothers. In that case, we know that Jesus will strike down upon him with great vengeance and furious anger.

I wouldn't go so far as to call the dog 'filthy' but it's definitely dirty. Anyway, dog's gotta personality. Personality goes a long way.

" Fortunately, the dog did not attack the four police offers who were at one point in the house working to bring down the animal"

What a colossal waste of Officer's time. They should have shot it and been done with the whole situation.

Rockville Police don't shoot dogs; they would have to call in the PG County SWAT team.

OK, a few point need clarification in this story;

-MPD doesn't issue/use Tasers
-MPD's jurisdiction doesn't include Rockville, MD
-MPD's jurisdiction doesn't include Seat Pleasant, MD/PG County where the other story you link to occurred.

MPD is the DC Metropolitan Police Department, did you mean Montgomery County [Maryland] Police Department [MCPD]?

Agreed. Kirston, you may want to go back and fix your references. The linked article points to PG County and Fairmount Heights (PG County) officers. This case is Rockville.

Yeah, very poorly written overall. If there's a point trying to be made in this article, I'm not sure what it is.

I wasn't really trying to say something specific about police jurisdiction but rather about the controversy over Tasers. I'll fix it.

Another frickin' idiot with a Frankenmutt! Shoulda Tased the owner just for being stupid.

the dog was neglected otherwise it would have never acted out. how unfortunate for the related family members that had such friendships with the innocent dog. I feel sorry for them it was the owners fault
