Good morning, D.C. Are we finally on the edge of ridding ourselves of this week's miserable weather? Clouds are lingering today, but tomorrow's weather looks like it will do a whole lot to erase the last few days of rain, cold, and the general atmosphere of lethargy. There's plenty of 60s forecasted for our future, Washington. And while the last few days haven't been pleasant, it could always be worse -- at least we're not desperately piling sandbags to prevent a nor'easter from pulling our homes into the Chesapeake.

In other news this morning:

>> Remember the ridiculous story about those honor roll students who were suspended from a Loudon County high school for drinking some wine while on a school trip to France? According to WUSA9, it turns out that the school not only disregarded their documented suspension policy when doling out the questionable punishment, but they also punished a student who didn't imbibe.

>> Borderstan has the details on a police raid at a residence on the 1800 block of Vermont Avenue NW yesterday afternoon.

>> WaPo on D.C.'s new bike lanes, on 15th Street and otherwise: "[DDOT's Jim] Sebastian said the city hopes to develop dedicated bike lanes on at least four streets, two running north-south and two running east-west. He mentioned M and L streets as possible candidates."

M and L streets would be perfect for it. both have too many lanes going one direction as it is. traffic treats them as freeways. try it yourself! the lights are usually timed so that you can get from trader joe's over to the convention center at 40 mph without slowing down for anything.

"...while on a school trip to France..."

They should have gone to Australia. Every thing is so much better in Australia.
