>> DJ Stylus continues his weekly exploration into new music with "Refuge." As usual, it'll be at Tabaq. Free, 9 p.m.

>> A member of the Wu-Tang family, Killah Priest dropped his latest album, Elizabeth, late last month. He's on the road promoting it and will be at Liv with opening act, and Three Star alum, Flex Mathews. $5, 9 p.m.

Thursday:
>> "Tip the Band 7" is out to give local indie artists a little shine and some payment. On tap for tonight's show at Almaz will be Godisheus and Violet Says 5. Free (but tip the bands), 8:30 p.m.

>> "Cakes & Kisses" is back with its hip-hop open mic featuring The Five One, Green Tea, Madam Madon, Laelo Hood and DJ Jav. Asylum plays host and free cake and Hershey's kisses will be available. Free, 9 p.m.

Friday:
>> D.C.-based duo Fly Gypsy takes their hip-hop/live music set to Liv. They'll be performing tracks from their soon-to-be released album, Change For A Dollar. $10, 8 p.m.
