FRIDAY

PERFORMANCE: The Lisner Auditorium hosts the Gay Men's Chorus of Washington, D.C. for their version of Snow White titled, Snow White and 175 Fairies. Friday and Saturday’s performance are both at 8 p.m., Sunday’s at 3 p.m.Tickets $20 - $50.

Or head to the Gala Theatre to catch Dito van Reigersberg of the renowned Philadelphia-based Pig Iron Theater Company, in Martha Graham Cracker, a drag cabaret both Friday and Saturday night at 8 p.m. for $25.

And yet another good option The Santaland Diaries at the Warehouse Theater, presented by City Artistic Partnerships. David Sedaris's hilarious behind the scenes stories of being an elf at Macy's will been brought to life in a one-man-show written by Joe Mantello and performed by Joe Brack. 8 p.m., $15 general admission, $10 at-the-door standing.

MUSIC: A couple homegrown acts take the stage at Rock and Roll Hotel. Headliners Army of Me play mellow lo-fi rock and openers Casper Bangs bring a bit more of a wall-of-sound approach to their song writing. Check out the video for the Bangs track "Queen of Hearts." $10/$12, doors at 8:30 p.m.

Publicist, aka former Trans Am-er Sebastian Thomson, takes the Velvet Lounge stage tonight alongside frequent collaborator Ian Svenonius. Ill Ease and Chris Grier round out the bill. 10 p.m., $8.

ZOO LIGHTS: Tonight's special "Date Night" event offers couples the chance to check out the National Zoo's annual Zoo Lights festival without quite so many strollers surrounding them. Tickets are $40 per couple, and include a bag of kettle corn, a free plush animal, hot cocoa and cookies, and special Date Night glowing keychain. 6-8:30 p.m.

SATURDAY

MOVIE: Who are you kidding. It's thundersnowing out, and the only thing to do besides shelter in place is to see if you can make to the movies. We've highlighted the holiday films the AFI Silver and the National Gallery are offering this weekend in our weekly film picks, so get all the details there.

SHOPPING: Still need to buy holiday gifts? Design Within Reach in Adams Morgan is hosting the 4th annual Holiday Booty Market, featuring tons of local indie craftmakers with affordable items for sale. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Black Cat is also hosting its annual Rock 'n' Shop event, the perfect place to score that obscure T-shirt for the hardcore music fan in your life. Free, 8 p.m.

MUSIC: At the 9:30 Club, local rock-alt-bluegrass group theJunior League Band (check out our interview from a year ago) are paired with local staple and Three Stars alum, Justin Jones and the Driving Rain (***), 8 p.m., $15.

Two Christmas concerts by the all-male vocal ensemble The Suspicious Cheese Lords are on tap for this weekend. Tonight's is at 7 p.m. at the Pope John Paul II Cultural Center (3900 Harewood Rd. NE), or see them on Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. at Our Lady of the Angels (Catonsville, Md.). Both performances are free, with donations accepted.

SUNDAY

MUSIC: KUKU, a Nigerian-born, D.C.-based singer/songwriter will perform at Bohemian Caverns in support of his Absence of Cool album, with South African guitarist Mongezi Ntaka. $10 in advance/$15 at the door, 7 p.m.
