We're a mere nine days from the opening of the fourth annual DCist Exposed Photography Show. We're finalizing and finagling a bunch of awesome stuff for you guys, so we'll have more detailed information for you soon. All you need to know right now is: Long View Gallery, March 6, 6 to 10 p.m., amazing images for sale taken by our photo community, BE THERE.

>> ReadysetDC continues its new venture to put more alternative art events on in the city this Friday. Join them at the District Lounge for two events: first learn about The Art of the Blog with guests Dan Silverman of Prince of Petworth and David Garber of And Now, Anacostia (6 to 8 p.m.), then the first of a new art series, Gallery at the District, featuring work by No Kings Collective and music by Fatback (8 to 10 p.m.)

>> Thirty years after Ten Portraits of Jews of the Twentieth Century first opened in D.C., the DCJCC brings these ten works by Andy Warhol back for a retrospective. See them at the opening tonight at 5:30 p.m. Their Theater J will also open production of the comedy show Andy Warhol: Good for the Jews? on March 6.

>> Art Enables celebrates its 8th birthday this weekend with a party and mini-fundraiser. On Saturday, head over to their gallery to enjoy an art exhibit and DJ, and enter a raffle or silent auction; see the raffle items here, including getting a celebrity chef to make crabcakes for four in your home (tickets $1 each). 2 to 5 p.m.

>> Artist Khánh H. Lê follows a well-tread immigrant's path, struggling to understand his new land without leaving behind the culture of his family. See how the Vietnam artists translates his own experience for us in Born Too Late at DCAC, opening Friday, 7 to 9 p.m.

>> The National Gallery of Art opens The Sacred Made Real this Sunday. The exhibit features Spanish painting and sculpture of the Immaculate Conception, the Passion of Christ, and other interpretations of the saints.

>> If you haven't seen the giant WPA exhibition Cream at the Katzen Arts Center, stop by tonight to see it and hear eight curators, including Ken Ashton, Kristen Hileman and Mera Rubell, talk about the work they selected for the show. 6:30 p.m.

>> Hear Patrick McDonough, the artist working hard on winter worst/wurst weiss give a talk during a reception Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. Pink Line Project has a nice video of the work he's done so far.

>> Tickets are still available for the Smithsonian American Art Museum's annual ARTrageous gala this Saturday.

>> Tonight at 7 p.m., also at SAAM, listen to photographer Thomas Joshua Cooper discuss work in the current exhibit of work by Timothy H. O’Sullivan. Cooper will focus on the classic images of Shoshone Falls.

Art Notes:

  • Applications for Hamiltonian Artists 2010 fellowship program are due March 2.
  • Tonight "Meet the Artist" Phoebe Greenberg at the Hirshhorn, where she'll her video work Next Floor, which was awarded Best Short Film at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival. 7 p.m.
  • The three gallery wide Lust exhibit will have a closing reception this Saturday, 6 to 9 p.m.
  • More closing receptions abound at Hillyer in Dupont, Friday 5 to 8 p.m. $5 suggested donation.
  • Get a preview of our DCist Exposed venue this Saturday, by joining newly married (during the opening) Matt Sesow and Dana Ellyn for a closing reception at Long View Gallery. 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
  • Video artists, the D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities is looking for your work.
