D.C. Public Schools are CLOSED on Thursday, Feb. 11. Pretty much every other school district in the area, as well as private schools, are closed on Thursday as well. DCPS administrative employees are being asked to continue to check back later to determine if they should report to work.
The Metrorail system will continue to operate only underground on Thursday. Metrobus and MetroAccess service are also expected to remain suspended. "However, Metro officials will be monitoring road conditions constantly with an eye toward expanding service levels when conditions improve." The rail system will open at 5 a.m., with trains coming in intervals of 24 to 30 minutes.
The Federal Government is CLOSED on Thursday, Feb. 11.
Update 11:20 p.m.: The D.C. Government will also be CLOSED on Thursday, with only emergency and essential personnel reporting for duty. Two days in a row! Amazing.
