Another Suspicious Package, This Time In Columbia Heights

Police are currently investigating a suspicious package at 14th and Irving Streets NW near the entrance to the Columbia Heights Metrorail station. The Metro station itself has been temporarily closed -- trains continue to run through the station, albeit without stopping. Traffic around the area is reportedly a real mess, as well. UPDATE: Commander Jacob Kishter of MPD just sent an email to confirm that the "package was cleared and the area will open shortly." The Metro station has reopened.
