CNN.com is already busting Live Nation’s chops for still charging some kinds of fees during today’s “No Service Fee Wednesday” promotion we told you about earlier this week, so we thought we’d try out going through the ticket buying process to see for ourselves.
Looking through the list of Nissan Pavilion shows available through LiveNation.com, we went with the Depeche Mode concert set for July 28. Today’s “no service fee” promotion only includes lawn seats, so we selected two lawn tickets, which takes you to a check-out window that looks like this:
As you can see, the “service fees” were indeed waived, but the mandatory $6 “parking” fees associated with Nissan Pavilion are still in effect. Fees associated with printing your tickets at home are also waived farther down the checkout window, and the final purchasing stage didn’t produce any “facility” fees at Nissan – though that’s the only venue we’ve checked out so far.
So whaddya think, DCist readers? Was Live Nation not totally honest about today’s promotion? Or did you expect that the parking fees would still be included?
