Good morning, Washington. So, has your commute gotten any better by now? It’s definitely still a mess out there, with gridlocked rush hours wearing drivers thin. But it seems like it might be getting at least a little bit better, we hope? Of course, the car-eating potholes aren’t making things any easier. And now Mayor Fenty’s got WRC/NBC4 anchors melting down live on the air as they vent their snow-related frustrations at him. If only all of the city’s palpable, red-hot anger could also melt snow!

Council Could Censure Barry: No elected official in the District of Columbia has ever been censured, but that could be about to change. Tim Craig writes in the Washington Post that even though Marion Barry “has long enjoyed a good relationship with many of his council colleagues, there were signs Wednesday that he is losing support.” Chairman Vincent Gray also told NewsChannel 8 yesterday that he plans to have the council could consider a possible censure resolution as early as March 2.

Former Metro GM to Provide Assessment: Former Metro General Manager David Gunn is being brought in to serve as a consultant to WMATA and conduct “a two-week appraisal of how Metro is run,” the Post’s Ann Scott Tyson reports. Gunn, 72, was the head of Metro from 1991 to 1994. He told the paper he plans to take a close look at the management structure of the transit system.
