WTOP has weather and traffic updates every eight minutes on the eights, while here at DCist we’ve adopted a much more laissez-faire attitude towards telling you what to look for in the sky and on the roads. Basically, we’ll tell you what’s what with weather and traffic when we damn well feel like it. It might just be now, it might again be in four minutes, it might well be at 7:32 p.m. Who knows. So keep checking back. A lot. Because your commute or your decision whether or not to carry an umbrella will absolutely depend on it. Right now it’s sunny and pleasant outside, and I’d give area roadways somewhere between an A- and two thumbs up. Unless you’re trying to take New York Avenue out of the city, and it’s more of a 3/10.
