Is there a crosswalk sign by your building that’s all bent out of shape? Is that missing “Stop for Pedestrians” sign making your daily crossing of 16th Street a perilous adventure? Well, The Washington Post feels your pain, and is doing something about it. Yesterday, the paper’s website launched The Daily Gripe, a feature that allows readers to report any nagging issues that require attention from local government. The complaints are then transmitted to the appropriate government agency. The administrators also include a Gripe of the Day, which they deem important enough for a follow-up. The site also lets us know when Gripes get fixed.
