Photo by MissChatterThe Strasburgasm finally cometh on Tuesday, and the Nationals are busy trying to make sure it’s a total sell out.
At 1 p.m. this afternoon, the team released a limited number of individual suite tickets to rookie Stephen Strasburg’s major league debut, which ranged from $95 to $145 apiece, but those appear to have been snapped up already.
All hope is not yet exhausted, however. The team also plans to sell 2,000 standing room only tickets for $10 each starting at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at the Nationals Park Main Box Office (two ticket limit per person). And the regular 400 cheap seats, which the team sells for $5 each as soon as the gates open before most games, will go on sale at 4:30 p.m. as usual.
And one more tactic to try, courtesy of WCP’s Dave McKenna. Apparently anyone who signs up for something called the “New Era Flex Plan” has a chance to buy regular tickets to the game, with the caveat that you must also purchase tickets to two other games at the same time. But the deal also includes tickets to an additional 4th game for free, plus a “New Era”-themed Nats cap. Depending on which games you pick, could be an OK deal for Nats faithful.
