TV: Comet Ping Pong (5037 Connecticut Ave. NW) hosts a viewing party in celebration of their appearance on Food Network’s Diners, Drive-ins & Dives tonight. The party starts at 8 p.m. and the show starts at 10 p.m. Free.
MOVIES: National Theater (1321 Pennsylvania Ave. NW) is showing classic movies starring Cary Grant for its free Monday night movie series. Tonight’s presentation is My Favorite Wife. 6:30 p.m., free — but tickets, given out half an hour before showtime, are required (one ticket per person in line).
>> See a free showing of Tara Road at the Flashpoint Gallery (916 G St. NW) hosted by solas nua, a non-profit that supports the contemporary Irish arts. There will also be free popcorn. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the show starts at 7.
FESTIVAL: The Smithsonian Folklife Festival features music and dance of the Pacific Islands from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at the Asian Fusions Stage (see the map).
