Didn’t get one? Yeah, neither did we. (Phst, whatever. Not like we wanted to go to Sacramento, anyway.)

DCPS Schools Chancellor Michelle Rhee will finally marry Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson on September 4; the two will wed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sacramento (see above), and the reception party has been planned at the estate of Johnson donor and mentor Angelo K. Tsakopoulos.

The best part of the whole story: Tsakopoulos’ name is misspelled on the invite. Whoops.

The invitations hit mailboxes with some serious fanfare (and probably required some serious postage), arriving inside a box, wrapped with a silver bow and positioned on a cushioned board. Obviously, the couple didn’t want to risk Rhee licking cheap, toxic envelopes that Johnson picked out.
