WTOP News reports that a group of roughly three dozen protesters gathered outside Nationals Park today, urging Major League Baseball to consider moving the 2011 All-Star Game. The 2011 All-Star Game is set to be played in Phoenix, and the protesters want it moved due to Arizona’s controversial immigration laws. The group initially unfurled a banner reading “Bud Selig Move The All Stars Game No SB 0170,” referring to the Arizona law. The timing of the protest was due to the Nationals hosting the Arizona Diamondbacks. Presently, Arizona and Washington are tied at 3-3, so the fate of immigration policy in the United States remains unclear.
