There has been a lot of debate about airport security over the last few weeks. But as any holiday traveler knows, actually getting to the airport can be just as much of a hassle as any full body scan — especially if you don’t have a car, a friend with a car that owes you a favor or a bunch of cash to drop on a cab ride. Here are some methods that will (eventually) get you where you need to go.

For those attempting to get to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, that’s an easy one — just hop on the Metro. The Yellow and Blue Lines stop at the airport. Obviously, Wednesday will be a total mess as everyone fights to get out of town first, but at least you’ve got an uncomplicated commute to your terminal.
