Sources tell DCist that several police officers are investigating a dumpster in an alley surrounded by Sherman Avenue and Fairmont, 10th Euclid and 11th Streets NW which contained what is believed to be a deceased female. An area along the 1000 block of Fairmont Street NW has been closed off while the investigation proceeds. TBD is reporting that police have said that the body “appears” to be a teenage female who may have been murdered. No other details are available at this moment, but we’ll be sure to keep an eye on developments as the investigation proceeds.
