UPDATE: DCist has received a clarification from the Zoo about tomorrow’s debut — the cubs will not be on display to the public until Monday, when “keepers will be making a decision on a day-by-day basis about whether the cubs are going out and [for] how long,” according to a Zoo spokesperson. There will be a “short member preview” tomorrow for Friends of the National Zoo members, but RSVPs to that event went quickly. So, to recap: if you’re just a member of the general public, you’ll have to wait until at least Monday to see the cubs in person.

Exciting times, people: the National Zoo’s seven much-ballyhooed lion cubs are finally set to make their public debut tomorrow. The cubs will apparently be wandering around the habitat tomorrow, so be sure to make your way over to the Zoo sometime between 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (See our update above for new information on this weekend’s events.) Zookeepers are keeping things pretty conservative when it comes to the growing furballs, however, admitting that there could be several factors which keep the cubs under wraps. The Zoo also said that it will begin making a day-to-day call on whether the cubs can go outside starting on Monday.

The seven cubs recently spent some more time getting to know their father, Luke, and some got their 12-week exams. We couldn’t confirm this, but their adorability levels were reportedly off the charts.
